Privacy Policy

01Who we are

BRANDGILLS VENTURES FZE (Office C1-1F-SF5006, Ajman Free Zone C1 Building, Ajman, United Arab Emirates) runs brandgills.ai and the BrandGills platform and is responsible for the personal data described here. This policy explains how we handle it, in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, where it applies to you, the EU and UK GDPR.

02What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone number, password, account type and, for brands, business name and category.
• Profile and media kit: photo, bio, location, niches, services, rates and portfolio work.
• Connected social accounts: when you connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or another network, we receive public profile details and audience statistics such as follower count and engagement. We never receive your social media passwords.
• Campaign and collaboration data: briefs, applications, chat messages, agreements, deliverables and reviews.
• Payment data: transaction amounts, wallet balance and payout details. Card details are handled by our payment providers; we don’t store full card numbers.
• Verification data: identity or business documents you choose to submit to get verified.
• Usage and device data: pages visited, actions taken, IP address, browser and device type, collected through logs and cookies.
• Early-access signups: the email address you enter on our launch pages and which page you signed up on.

03How we use it

• To create and run your account and show your profile to the right brands or creators.
• To match creators with campaigns and help brands discover creators.
• To process payments, hold secured funds and pay out creators.
• To verify accounts, prevent fraud and fake engagement, and keep the Platform safe.
• To send service messages, such as collaboration updates and payment receipts.
• To send launch news and product updates, if you signed up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how the Platform is used and improve it.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.

04Our legal reasons

We process personal data because we need it to provide the service you signed up for, because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting the Platform, because the law requires it, or because you’ve given consent (for example, to marketing emails or connecting a social account). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

05Who we share it with

• Other users: your public profile and media kit are visible to users on the other side of the marketplace. Messages, agreements and deliverables are shared with the brand or creator you’re working with.
• Service providers: hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics and customer support companies that work for us under contract.
• Legal and safety: regulators, courts or police when the law requires it, or to protect users and the Platform.
• Business changes: a buyer or successor if BrandGills is merged, acquired or reorganised.

We don’t sell your personal data.

06International transfers

Some of our providers store or process data outside the UAE. When that happens, we use providers and contract terms that give your data an adequate level of protection, as the law requires.

07How long we keep it

We keep personal data while your account is open and for as long as needed afterwards to settle payments and disputes and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Early-access signup emails are kept until launch communications end or you unsubscribe. When we no longer need data, we delete or anonymise it.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

To use any of these rights, email info@brandgills.ai from the address on your account. We’ll reply within 30 days.

09Keeping data secure

We use encryption in transit, access controls and trusted providers to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

10Children

BrandGills is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, protect against fraud and measure how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings; turning off some cookies may stop parts of the Platform from working.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and let you know by email or on the Platform.
